photo albumOur Church Family

We play together as well as praying and praising God together. We enjoy eating together and find many excuses to do this during each year. We go camping on Grace Island every Spring and enjoy a Beach Service every June. On Palm Sunday we walk around our neighborhood waving palm leaves then we enjoy dessert and if we are little we look for Easter Eggs. You can see us doing many of these things in pictures on this website. They help us to feel like a big family that prays and plays together.

The Praise Dancers are a group of ladies who Praise God through graceful, interpretive dance set to inspirational music. They are quite breath-taking to watch!

photo album Sunday School

Sometimes this is called “Sunday School”. Beginning as babies and continuing to “Tween Agers” (Middle School age), our children come into church to participate and contribute to worship for the first 15 or 20 minutes of our service. The minister, or another leader will tell a story and talk to the children, then they all leave for Church School which takes place in our church hall.

Using music, crafts, story telling and puzzles, our young people learn more about what it means to be followers of Christ. Volunteer teachers (mostly parents) help to run the school. At Christmas the church school tells the story of Jesus’ birth in a musical play – everyone in church goes to see that. Often children will make seasonal crafts.

Two very special events for our young people are the camp at Grace Island and our Beach Service at Cooper’s Island near the airport. See how much fun we have in the pictures on this site.

photo album Andrew's Place

You will see many pictures of a new building next door to our church. The congregation built this office and retail block to sustain the ministry of Saint Andrew’s through the 21st Century and beyond. An old church building (the original Saint Andrew’s Hall) stood on this site since 1917. After the new church hall was built in 1966, the old building was rented out as retail space. Damage caused by Hurricane Fabian in 2003 made it uneconomical to repair the old building and the congregation decided to build Andrew’s Place. Currently the building is occupied by the architect who designed the building; two departments of the Bermuda Government and a Furniture Store.

Enjoy the views taken from the roof of Andrew’s Place which will give you a good idea of where we are in the City of Hamilton. Perhaps you can even find us on Google Earth!

( Roof Wetting is a local cermony celebrated when a roof is completed. To seal out the rain, wind and moisture the congregation of St. Andrew's Presbyterian church held their roof wetting ceremony by climbing to the roof top and pouring a bottle of black rum on the roof.)

photo album Baptism

A baptism service on the beach. The baby is baptized right in the ocean.

photo album Camping

More wonderful congregational outings to beautiful places.

photo albumDuring the Week

During the week you will see a parade of Mommies and Daddies with their little ones coming to Saint Andrew’s. They are coming to a nursery school run by one of our members. Although it is a private, independently run school, the church tries to keep our rent affordable so that Teeter Tots can make child care affordable for more parents.

The children play around the church all week making it a merry and bright place. Important events such as graduation are held in the church. You can see pictures of the children at Teeter Tots on our website. To find out more about the school, please call the owner Mrs. Donna Richold at 295 6387.

photo album Christmas 2007

The children put on the Christmas Story Backwards in this year's pageant. A special visitor stops in to see the children and everyone enjoys a delicious hot lunch. The tiny sheep almost steal the show!
